 - PREPARING FOR THE CONFERENCE-

Q: Where can I stay while in Stockholm?

A:  When looking for accommodation, we recommend visiting https://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Stockholm

This is our favourite site where you can book a fantastic hostel at a great price! Our favourite hostels you may ask? Although all are great, we personally love City Backpackers Hostel and City Hostel - Central Station because of their great locations and accessibility to transport and of course.. to SMUN!

Q: How can I get from Arlanda Airport (ARN) to the city?

A:  If you will be arriving from Arlanda Airport, we recommend taking the Arlanda Express! It costs 150 kr for students and you arrive in Stockholm city in just 20 minutes. Trains depart every 10-15 minutes making it stress-free for your journey to SMUN 2019! Another option is to take the Flygbussarna which is 120 kr per ride, the time table is listed online. Click either link if you want to buy your tickets ahead of time.  https://www.arlandaexpress.com/tidtabell.aspx or https://www.flygbussarna.se/

Q: How am I able to get around in Sweden (transportation)

A:  Getting around Stockholm is very simple, and we recommend you purchase an SL card. All tickets are loaded on an SL Access card, which is an electronic smart card. You need to pay a fee of 20 SEK for the card itself, but you can re-use your card at future visits to Stockholm. There are single-use travelcards with tickets valid 75 minutes, 24 or 72 hours, perfect for your trip to SMUN. Tickets and travel cards are sold at the SL Center and at Metro and commuter railway stations. There are also ticket machines at most Metro and commuter railway stations, as well as in a number of other locations. Also, make sure to download the SL app on your phone so you can check times and routes. Visit https://sl.se/en/ for more information.
