- COMMITTEES -
2017 Theme:
Transborder Security and Sustainable Development
We are happy to present the theme of Stockholm Model United Nations 2017. Our committees are varied and suit everyone from beginners to veterans. We strive to come up with topics which are not often discussed and are important to international relations and human rights. We divided the committees into three levels, so all delegates can find something that suits them!

- Experience -
The Stockholm Model United Nations will challenge you by providing hours of intense debates and resolutions. However, you will also get to experience the unique student culture of Sweden, also called “Studentikos”. This is what makes SMUN the most prominent Model United Nation in Scandinavia. We now invite you to join us to experience an unforgettable conference.

- Fika -
"Fika" is a part of a Swedish tradition that is passionately cared for by everyone who likes pastries and hot beverages.
It is a perfect opportunity to relax between the heated debates and make lifetime friends while you refuel on coffee and sugar.
- Nightlife-
Stockholm has a wide range of clubs and bars which have created several world-famous DJs. After a long day of global geopolitics and intense debates we invite you to let off some steam together with your fellow delegates.
SMUN will provide entrance to some of our favourite nightclubs. One of which is Café Opera and Sturecompagniet, some of the most appreciated clubs in the beating heart of Stockholm.
- Diplomat Dinner-
After three days of drafting resolutions and debating, the delegates will attend a fabulous dinner at the famous Münchenbryggeriet.
For a hundred years the München brewery has satisfied the thirst of capital citizens of Sweden. It has faced the threat of demolition but survived due to public outcry. Today it is one of the most exquisite places for banquets in Stockholm.
During the dinner SMUN invites you to mingle over a glas of champagne, dine with your friends and colleagues over a two course dinner and a glas of wine. From 11pm our DJ will roll out the beats for everyone who loves to dance!
- SPEAKERS -
We at Stockholm Model United Nations are extremely grateful for the speakers who we got to host in 2017. At Stockholm Model United Nations, we are always striving to invite the most prominent people, from relevant fields, to give you the opportunity to get up close and personal to real life international politics and relations. In the past years, we have had the great pleasure to host speakers such as Hans Corell, Aleksander Gabelic, Sven-Eric Söder and Lars Strannegård. Stay tuned for the speakers at Stockholm Model United Nations 2018.
