The First SMUN Pre-Lecture is today!

Due to the limited amount of seats available at the lecture, ONLY registered delegates will be able to attend.Also, remember that SMUN time is always sharp. Make sure to be there in good time before the lecture!
The first pre-lecture will touch upon the subject of the inner workings of the UN system. The different aspects of the topic we will discuss are this year’s SMUN councils.
Speakers for tonight are
6.00-6.45 p.m. – Ann Måwe,
Head of the UN group at the Department for Multilateral Development Cooperation, Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Worked at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the United Nations in New York.Break
7.00-7.45 p.m. – Said Mahmoudi,
Professor in International Law at University of Stockholm. Former diplomat to the Iranian Embassy in Sweden and the Iranian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.The lecture will be held at the Stockholm School of Economics

Pre-lecture I – The UN System
November 7th, 6.00-7.45 p.m.
During pre-lecture one we will touch upon the subject of the inner workings of the UN system. The different aspects of the topic we will discuss are this year’s SMUN councils.Pre-lecture II – The Operational Matters, Sanctions and Human Rights
November 8th, 6.00-8.30 p.m.The second pre-lecture is going to consist of different views of various institutions concerning the military, economical, and human aspects of the events unraveling within the scenario.
Pre-lecture III – The Scenario
November 9th, 6.00-08.30 p.m.The final pre-lecture will expand on your previous insights with knowledge related to this year’s scenario. Now, you have the chance to diversify your technical knowledge with more practical details about tangible situations developing as part of the scenario.
