Erik MalmPresident of SMUN 2009
Erik studies Chemistry at Stockholm University and aspires to finish his studies with a delicate balance between International Relations and Environmental Chemistry. A scientist first, but also a marketer with experience in digital marketing and web development. Besides his studies, work and whole-hearted dedication to Stockholm Model United Nations, he’s also active in the Green Party of Sweden and in the Student Union at Stockholms University.
Originally from Gothenburg, but has spent several years in Stockholm and two years in Helsinki, Finland. He participated in SMUN 2008 as a delegate and also attended World MUN 2009, which was held in the Hague.
Emma Maria JohanssonVice President and Treasurer of SMUN 2009
Emma currently studies Business and Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. She participated in SMUN 2008 and WorldMUN 2009 as a delegate. She has previously been involved in the MUN Society at the Vienna International School.
She is a recipient of the 2008 European Council of International Schools Award for International Understanding. She participated at the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. and New York City in 2008, where she was elected to be on the Global Summit Leadership Team, organising a General Assembly simulation at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Antonia JosefssonMarketing Manager
Antonia is currently a student at the Stockholm School of Economics where she attends the BSc program in Business and Economics. Previous MUN experiences include WorldMUN 2009, SMUN 2008 and a high school MUN in 2007. Beside SMUN, Antonia is involved in the project Focus Aid and CSR at SSE and the school choir Friedmans Apostlar.
Elias MettijiDelegate Liaison Officer
Elias has previously studied at Uppsala University before commencing at the Stockholm School of Economics in 2008. He has completed an internship with the UN, which has definitely sparked his thirst for upcoming MUNs and helps to explain his participation with the SMUN in 2008 and Harvard WorldMUN in 2009.
Prior to, and during this year’s SMUN conference, he will be your contact and will help in providing with information and guidance.
Munir ChbichebLogistics and IT Management
Munir is with his Spanish / Moroccan background fluent in 5 different languages. Previous studies in France (Université de sciences de Nancy), Spain (Escuela Universitaria Politecninca de Malaga) and finally Sweden permitted him to acquire a broad experience and experience multiple challenges . Munir is currently attending the royal institute of technology (KTH) and the Karolinska Institute, a combined program in medical informatics.
Participated actively in multiple projects in research and development of medical IT solutions. Participated as a Delegate in SMUN2008 Stockholm and Harvard World MUN 2009 in Den Haag (Holland).
Eva KöhlerHead of Scenario
Eva is a Master’s student of Political Science at Stockholm University, where she has previously studied History of Ideas and Economic History. She has also been a student at “Sciences Po”, l’Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris, studying Political Science and International Relations. Currently, during the Swedish presidency of the European Union, she is working as a Liaison Officer for the Government Offices of Sweden. Eva attended SMUN 2007 and 2008 as Delegate, WorldMUN 2009 in The Hague and GlobalMUN in Geneva in 2009.
Linda Stoby HöglundHead of Scenario
Linda has always had an interest in people of foreign cultures. After having spent a year abroad as an exchange student and received the opportunity to meet with young people from all over the world, she knew that she would like to spend her future life within an international setting. Linda is currently studying Political Science with a specialisation in security studies at the Swedish National Defence College. Hopefully, it will lead her to a working career with numerous rewarding meetings with foreign cultures.
Linda joined the SMUN host team in 2009, and has previously participated in the SMUN 2008 and the Harvard WorldMUN conferences. She enjoys working with the scenario of the 2009 SMUN conference, and hope it will be for everyone involved!.
Georg von ZweigbergkManager of external relations and social events
Georg von Zweigbergk studies Economics and Business at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). He is a member of the board of the Student Association of International Affairs, which makes up a part of the Student Association at the Stockholm School of Economics (SASSE). Additionally, Georg is a deputy member of the board of SASSE.
His experience of previous MUN:s constitutes of participating as Delegate in Stockholm MUN 2008 and in World MUN 2009.
Soma Askari MorisManager of external relations and social events
Soma is Kurdish and migrated to Sweden at the age of 10, she grew up in the city of Göteborg and recently moved to Stockholm to attend studies.
She studies Political Science, Crises Management and International Co-operation at The Swedish National Defense College. This year she will also be attending Arabic, Middle Eastern and North African studies at Stockholm University.She is a member of the Stockholm Association of International affairs board where she holds responsibility as membership secretary.
Soma is also politically active since the age of 16. She participated in SMUN 2008 as a delegate and it was a inspiring experience.
