Dear Stockholm model united nation organization,
i would like to participate in the STUN in november this year.
It’s my first time i participate, so is there already the topic which we are going to talk about? Can we already choose a country?
      Kind regards,
      Britta

      Dear Britta,

We are delighted that you are interested in participating in SMUN. The scenario (the topic) has not been made official yet, but it will be soon. Keep checking our homepage! Regarding country representation, the SMUN Host team allocates a country to each delegation. This is done in order to create an even representation in each committee with regard to the delegates’ previous knowledge, MUN-experience and so on. We would like to see each delegate learn as much as possible in preparation for and during the conference. Do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions.

      Best wishes,
      Sandra Sigebrant

    • Hi,

I am a foreign student and am interested in taking part in the MUN. However, I was wondering whether you will be organising accommodation for international participants?

      Dear SMUN Host Team,

I would like to know if you received my application. I sent it one or two weeks ago and I have no news since. Could you confirm that you have received it please?

      Thanks.

      Dear Jay,

We are glad that you are interested in participating in SMUN! We will not be organizing any official accomodation. However, if you look at our homepage – click “About SMUN”, “2009″ and “Accomodation” – there is a list compiled over some accomodation alternatives. There is also a link to a couch surfing site.

      Best regards,
      Sandra Sigebrant

      Dear SMUN Host Team,

I am Brazilian but I live in Sweden and it’s been a year now. However I do not speak much Swedish, I was wondering if I could still join the Host team.
I sent my application a few months ago, and I did receive a reply, however I was just wanting to know if i’d be able to join SMUN for this coming autumn term.

      Thank you
      Gabriela

      Dear Gabriela,

Yes, it is indeed possible to join the Host team even if you don’t speak Swedish since the official language is English. In order to join the Host team, you need to participate as a delegate at a SMUN conference first. You are then able to apply to the Host team once the application period has begun (usually shortly after each conference has taken place). If you get admitted, you hold your position in the Host team for a full calendar year and thus, it is not possible to join the team as of now. You are welcome to apply for next year’s Host team as soon as the application period has begun. Of course, you are more than welcome to apply as a delegate for this year’s conference as well!

      Best regards,
      Sandra Sigebrant
